Five Star Tennis! I found Susan online whilst researching tennis coaching in the Algarve and decided to visit her for a 5 day solo coaching trip. Susan exceeded my expectations in every way, she is extremely professional and highly skilled. Her love for the game is infectious! I stayed at the Portobay Falesia and the atmosphere and setting was perfect, the courts are excellent and Susan made the whole experience fun and extremely informative. I walked away a better player! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone.

There are tennis coaches. Then there’s Susan Evans. I learned more from Susan in an hour than I did over 5 hours with my tennis coach back home. She’s methodical, thorough and breaks things down in blocks. Her passion for the game is infectious and her ability to communicate that knowledge in a way that’s easy to understand is what sets her apart. Virtuoso tennis teaching and skills aside, she’s the nicest person. She’s a joy to be around. Looking forward to coming back to the Algarve at some point in the future and getting another tennis lesson from her!

I had 2 private tennis lessons with Susan Evans and 1 group session during my stay at PortoBay Falesia. I honestly learnt more with her in my first lesson then I have in 10 months elsewhere. She is exceptionally patient and just had a way of explaining things so brilliantly that everything fell into place and I feel that she's greatly improved my tennis. I'm actually considering going to Portugal again soon just for a lesson with her! Thank you, Susan - you were incredible!

Top Tennis Coach! I took tennis lessons with Susan Evans during my stay at PortoBay Blue Ocean and she was fantastic! Great at breaking down technique and giving clear, actionable corrections. Patient, positive, and she adapted the drills perfectly to my goals and level. Responsive on WhatsApp and very flexible with scheduling, she made the times I proposed to train. Sessions were fun and productive. Highly recommend and I’ll definitely book with Susan again on my next holiday!

I highly recommend taking tennis lessons with Susan Evans. She is very experienced and still has the ability to meet you at your level. Both me and my wife took lessons and our games improved. It was an unforgettable experience in the beautiful surroundings of PortoBay Falesia.

Outstanding Professional Tennis Coaching in the Algarve! I love tennis and have played the game for many years. I signed up for tennis coaching lessons with Susan Evans, a professional USPTA coach, at the the beautiful tennis courts at the PortoBay Falesia Hotel in Olhos de Agua, Portugal. My three lessons with Susan were a revelation. Susan is a brilliant coach and consummate professional. Having not played for a few months, Susan quickly got me back on track, building my confidence and improving my technique over the time I spent with her. I came away with a greater understanding of my game and how best to improve it. Susan is a good listener, a great communicator and a patient teacher. Sponsored by Wilson, she gave me the opportunity to try different racquets and discuss the differences in weight and stringing. I was delighted with the quality of coaching that Susan provided and I made rapid progress over the three days I worked with her. Her knowledge of the game is tremendous and I enjoyed the best coaching experience of my entire playing career. I highly recommend Susan if you want to learn how to play or improve your tennis. Her lessons at the PortoBay Falesia (so close to the Ocean!) in Portugal were both enjoyable and effective, tailored perfectly to my skill level. Fantastic tennis coach! Whilst staying at the Porto Bay Falésia this year, I joined a few group tennis sessions with other hotel guests, and then booked two individual coaching sessions with Susan, and I'm so glad I did! Susan is a fantastic coach and really good at breaking things down into easy steps that actually make sense. I learned so much in a short space of time, and it was a lot of fun as well. I left with both a new forehand and backhand technique and I'm now way more confident on the court. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to fine-tune your game, I would definitely recommend Susan to anyone staying at the Porto Bay Falésia or the Porto Bay Blue Ocean, who wants to improve their game whilst on holiday.

The best tennis lesson in the Algarve. I had an absolutely brilliant tennis lesson with Susan Evans while in the Algarve. I'm a total beginner, but I learned so much in the space of 90 minutes. I could even hit a backhand with top spin after the first lesson. I was worried that coaching a beginner like me would be boring for a pro like Susan, but she was so enthusiastic and made it such an enjoyable experience. If I lived locally, I would be taking lessons every week with her. Susan was also just one of the nicest people I've met, and playing tennis with her was a real highlight of the holiday.
