I’ve worked with several coaches before, but no one has been able to explain technical details and the reasoning behind subtle adjustments as clearly and as quickly as Susan. She immediately adapts to your individual level and identifies the right drills to help you improve efficiently. Susan is fabulous at what she does. Great coaching either as a group or individually. If you are just starting with tennis or have experience on the courts, she will keep you engaged on the game and make it a fun and enjoyable experience. Myself and my 10 year old son are both tennis players and highly recommend her.

Excellent tennis coach!! I can comfortably say Ms. Evans is the best tennis instructor I’ve had! I am an above average intermediate player - ie didn’t play college but play competitively - and she helped with numerous technical refinements and followed up with resources for further training and equipment. Most coaches - especially holiday ones - seem in it for the pay and hit , not providing much in the way of helpful instruction. Ms Evans clearly cares about and loves the game and is very interested in spreading her enthusiasm!! I was lucky to find her and highly recommend! I generally don’t leave reviews but was inspired to do so in this instance.

I engaged Susan twice in my 5 day trip and it was an absolute blast and one of the highlights of my trip. Five Star Tennis! I found Susan online whilst researching tennis coaching in the Algarve and decided to visit her for a 5 day solo coaching trip. Susan exceeded my expectations in every way, she is extremely professional and highly skilled. Her love for the game is infectious! I stayed at the Portobay Falesia and the atmosphere and setting was perfect, the courts are excellent and Susan made the whole experience fun and extremely informative. I walked away a better player! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone.

Very useful and fun lessons! Susan is very responsive and was happy to drive up to our rental house with tennis court in the Algarve. She has all the useful equipment, makes up great drills and perfectly explains the theory behind the techniques of tennis. She also takes the extra time (way beyond what was booked) to complete exercises and make the experience useful and enjoyable for the client. I got very useful tips, help with racket choice and useful tennis intel over WhatsApp. I can definitely recommend tennis with Susan and will contact her again when I visit the Algarve again!

There are tennis coaches. Then there’s Susan Evans. I learned more from Susan in an hour than I did over 5 hours with my tennis coach back home. She’s methodical, thorough and breaks things down in blocks. Her passion for the game is infectious and her ability to communicate that knowledge in a way that’s easy to understand is what sets her apart. Virtuoso tennis teaching and skills aside, she’s the nicest person. She’s a joy to be around. Looking forward to coming back to the Algarve at some point in the future and getting another tennis lesson from her!

Top Tennis Coach! I took tennis lessons with Susan Evans during my stay at PortoBay Blue Ocean and she was fantastic! Great at breaking down technique and giving clear, actionable corrections. Great tennis experience. We had the pleasure of having tennis lessons with Susan while we were on holiday, and we couldn’t recommend her more highly!
