Recently located from the USA to the Algarve, Portugal, Susan previously provided professional tennis teaching and coaching services in Southwest Florida where her tennis business received the Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice Award five years. In her first year teaching in Portugal, she's worked with students of all ages and levels from 39 different countries and already earned the 2026 Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice Award, making for an impressive start in her new location and venture in Southern Europe.

Susan is a RSPA Certified Elite Tennis Professional, USTA SafeSport Trained, Safe Play Approved and Net Generation Provider, and a sponsored team member of the Wilson Advisory Staff. 

She was a former NCAA Division I Big Ten college tennis player at the University of Iowa, competing in both singles and doubles for the Hawkeyes, and graduated with a business degree in Marketing.

Other achievements include the 2014 USPTA National Clay Court Doubles Champion and Singles Runner-Up, and named the 2015 Doubles Player of the Year. 

Susan has worked with notable industry leaders and legends in the tennis world such as Coach Wayne Bryan of California, and Stanford University Coaches Dick Gould, Frank Brennan, and John Whitlinger.

She has taught, coached, and played competitively throughout the USA as well as in Europe and the Caribbean. 

Susan is a career tennis teaching professional with three decades of experience and genuinely enjoys sharing her passion and knowledge of the sport with her students to help them improve their games and overall journey. 

She accommodates players of all abilities-locals and tourists alike-and customizes sessions accordingly to provide a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
